Personal update 2.0 : Results and holiday
03:50I passed my exams!!!!
About an hour after I wrote the last blog post, I went to school to hear if I passed my final exams or not. I started tearing up and quickly asked if the results where accurate and if I had REALLY passed, after a random teacher (who I didn't even had class from) told me with a blank face and a monotone voice that I had passed my exams. Afterwards it was mostly me jumping up and down with friends around the school and sharing the news, while I was just flabbergasted and I couldn't actually reach to the idea that all the work had payed off and I was finally done with high school. Even while writing this now, I still find it hard to believe that I did. The weirdest part is that it all seems so easy; you work your butt of for years and just like that, in a few seconds, you'll get to hear that you made it and it's all over. But what surprises me the most are my grades. God knows how I passed all my classes with A's and B's (and one C, but I am stunned in the first place about the fact I even passed this one at all). I never would have thought I made it and surely not on this level and with these grades, which to most people aren't even that special, but I would have never thought that I would be able to do this; get average results.
I am incredibly happy that I can finally close the chapter of 'high school' in my life and I am just really excited to keep on learning and growing (not physically because we all now I ain't gonna grow over that 1,61 cm). This year I am taking a gap year and while I don't have an exact plan, I can't wait to have the freedom to decide what I want to do when I wake up every morning. I do know that I want to go travel and work. Also, I want to learn as much as I can, but just without having to go to the same classrooms everyday and learning about grammar and the ancient times. At my own pace and through doing things I love doing.
Soon I will share my plan for my gap year on this blog, but first I am going to continue enjoying my holiday (Italy!).
Love,
